Activities for caregivers: large print puzzles to share

Many people share a puzzle with someone they care for: a parent, a husband or wife, a neighbour, a resident. These pages are for family members, carers and activity staff who would like to do that with large print puzzles. They are about making the time enjoyable, not about testing anyone.
What the evidence says
We want to be straight with you. The Global Council on Brain Health, an independent group of experts convened by AARP, says the evidence for the benefits of “brain games” is weak, and it recommends a variety of stimulating and social activities instead. You can read what it says on the Global Council on Brain Health page about cognitively stimulating activities. So we offer puzzles as an enjoyable, calming, familiar activity to share, and we make no promises about memory or health.
