About this set
Armchair travelers will enjoy this set of ten geography word searches, the first ten of the Easy Geography series on the site. The words are places and landforms you may have visited, read about or only seen on a map: PARIS, VIENNA, PRAGUE, OSLO and LIMA, EGYPT, NEPAL, SPAIN and GREECE, and the ALPS, the AMAZON and the TUNDRA, along with words like HARBOR, VALLEY, GORGE and BORDER.
Every page is an eight by eight grid with six words to find. At the Easy level, words run only left to right or top to bottom. The letters are 36 point, the word list is 24 point and each word has a box to tick, so the page is clear and easy to follow even at a distance. The ten pages mix the words differently, so one printout can serve a whole group, and each person can say where they have been.
The full PDF finishes with an Answers section in which every word is shaded in its grid. A puzzles-only file is there if you would rather not print the answers. The word list belongs to this site and the puzzles are generated by our own program, which checks that each word appears in its grid exactly once.

How to print these puzzles
- Open the PDF (or save it) and choose Print. The pages are US Letter, 8.5 by 11 inches.
- On A4 paper, or if a margin is cut off, choose “Fit to page” (or “Fit”). Otherwise choose “Actual size” or 100 percent, which keeps the type at its full large size.
- Choose black and white or grayscale. The puzzles need no color, and it saves ink.
- Print one page per sheet. “Multiple pages per sheet” makes the letters small again.
- To print only the puzzles, print the puzzles-only file, or in the full file print just the pages before the section called Answers.
