About this set

A word search can be a small quiet pause in the day, and this set leans into that. The ten puzzles are the first ten of the Easy Mindful Wellness series on the site, with words about rest, kindness and noticing: RELAX, QUIET, BREATH, GENTLE, SMILE, WISDOM, TRUST, PAUSE, RENEW, LISTEN, BLOOM, FAITH and WATER, plus homely ones such as TEAPOT, BATH and SAUNA. There is no timer and no score, only the pleasure of finding a word.

Each page has an eight by eight grid and six words. At the Easy level the words run only across or down. Letters are 36 point, the word list is 24 point, and a box beside each word is there to tick, so the page is easy on the eyes and on the mind. The words change from page to page, so a set can be shared by a group, a family or a waiting room.

You will find the Answers at the end of the full PDF, with every hidden word shaded. A second, puzzles-only file leaves the answers out. These pages are meant for enjoyment, not as a treatment: they are a pleasant way to spend a few minutes, and they are not medical advice.

How to print these puzzles

Open the PDF (or save it) and choose Print. The pages are US Letter, 8.5 by 11 inches.
On A4 paper, or if a margin is cut off, choose “Fit to page” (or “Fit”). Otherwise choose “Actual size” or 100 percent, which keeps the type at its full large size.
Choose black and white or grayscale. The puzzles need no color, and it saves ink.
Print one page per sheet. “Multiple pages per sheet” makes the letters small again.
To print only the puzzles, print the puzzles-only file, or in the full file print just the pages before the section called Answers.
